Here’s Why
If your business is one
that sees walk in customers, whether your in the fast
food trade, the Restaurant business or any other kind of
retail business from A to Z, you really should capture
their email address and first name.
With this
information, and a little planning and attention to
detail you can put together special offers, promote one
time sales, send them discount coupons, the possibilities
are practically endless.
Imagine this, you
are a retailer, you get 50 -500 walk-ins everyday (some
will be repeats), Within Two weeks you will have a very
good idea of your customer base, within one month you
should have a strong active list that you could mail
discounts and offers to.
Your list will
become a valuable asset, and a source of income that will
cost you very little to tap into.
Every day that
list has the potential to grow, not just organically but
exponentially as well, (I will cover this in a separate
article so look out for it).
The cost of doing this
is peanuts!
Print a simple entry
form on your own computer, it doesn’t have to be fancy,
black and white will suffice.
You will also need to
make a few posters to go around your premises, you
can print these on the Computer or simply use a marker
pen, just be sure its easy to read and clear in it’s
purpose.
The only other expense
for this promotion is a Small Goldfish Bowl to put the

container or box will do, just dress it up a
bit)

When they pay their bill
ask them “Would you like to enter our free draw to WIN
DINNER FOR TWO?”
Of course it’s a
no-brainer; almost everybody wants something for nothing
(or the chance of something for
nothing).
Not every body will
enter, but most will, that is how you will build your
list quickly.
What
next
Now you have your list,
you use it to bring in more business. You use your
list wisely to educate and inform your customers. There
are a few guidelines that you should follow when
contacting your customers
